Dismantling Volvo Dumptrucks

July 30, 2010

As well as supplying new parts we also specialise in used parts.

Dismantling nearly complete

All our dismantling is undertaken, indoors, in a methodical way.  Individual parts are itemised, cleaned and checked for re-use.  Parts that require attention are then refurbished in-house and shelved.  Our used parts are offered with a guarantee and a huge saving on new price!

One Tractor We Don’t Want To Restore!

July 23, 2010

When we spotted this tractor on Modern Mechanix we were unsure whether to laugh or be terrified!

Tractor Ferry

This 1935 Caterpillar Tractor ferried passengers from Bigbury, Devonshire to the Burgh Islands.  Obviously health and Safety was very different back then! Surprisingly they did restore the third generation sea tractor designed in 1969.

This more robust looking version is still used today to take passengers to and from the Burgh Island Hotel and is the only one of its kind in the whole world.

Featured Machine: I-H Farmall F20 yr 1936

July 21, 2010

We have the usual array of Articulated Dumpers and Excavators available, but we thought we’d feature a more unusual machine after wetting everyone’s appetite with our International BTD20 Project.

1936 I-H Farmall

This 1936 I-H Farmall F20 may be 74 years old, but is in very nice condition, ideal condition to either re-paint or even keep it in time weathered condition (Rust!) Interestingly the correct colour for a 1936 tractor is grey not red! Some tractors were later painted red.
